The Cypriot beer market is trying to maintain its position through exports

Against the background of a rather sharp – almost a quarter – decline in beer supplies to the local market, due to the lack of tourists this season, the industry is trying to maintain its position through the export of foam beverage, according to statistics.

On average for 10 months of the current year beer export from Cyprus increased by almost 3% – last year the volume was 1.39 million liters, now – 1.43 million. According to the results of July the producers managed to set almost a record for the twentieth anniversary – they sent abroad 166% more beer than in July 2019, and in general more than in any month for the last 18 years.

In addition, beer exports showed serious annual growth in August – by 67% – and in September – by 54%.
