Protests continue in Belarus

The capital of Belarus has been hosting protests against the results of the last presidential elections for the third consecutive day.

Tuesday, law enforcement agencies used light-noise grenades, tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the protests.

According to the Interior Ministry, more than 6 thousand people have been arrested. More than 250 people were hospitalized.

Candidate for President Svetlana Tikhanovskaya left Belarus for Lithuania and called to stop the protests.

In Brest, law enforcers opened fire to kill, a man was injured.

Mobile Internet was turned off almost all over the country.

Western countries condemned the harsh measures applied to the protesters and called for an end to violence against demonstrators.
