At the competition in the Spanish city of Valencia, which was held exclusively for two athletes, 24-year-old runner from Uganda Joshua Cheptegei set a new world record in the run for 10,000 meters. He overcame this distance in 26 minutes and 11.02 seconds. A month and a half ago, the same athlete set a world record in the distance of 5,000 meters.
A day earlier, in Valencia, the Ethiopian runner Letesenbet Gidey broke the world record in the women’s 5,000 meters. She showed the result 14.06.62.
