Limassol will not have a traditional carnival in the coming year

The Municipality of Limassol announced that in 2021 the traditional carnival parade would not take place due to the pandemic. The carnival in Limassol is one of the main entertainment events for locals and tourists and is held annually before the Lent. In 2021, it was to be held on March 13.

“The conditions of the pandemic force us to adjust the carnival, said the municipality. – It is simply impossible to organize mass events, such as the main and children’s parades, in accordance with anti-epidemic rules, so they will not be held”.

The officials, nevertheless, promised to organize a series of festive events, admissible under the conditions of the pandemic, during the carnival period.
