A Chinese man with a “gold passport” will open a private school in the Cypriot village

A Chinese businessman, owner of a Cyprus passport under the Citizenship for Investment program, has agreed with Hellenic Bank to purchase a building for a private school in the village of Achelia. The amount of the deal is over 5 million euros, Philenews reports.

The school complex, built five years ago, consists of a building with sections for administration, kindergarten, primary and secondary school, as well as two courtyards and sports grounds.

The investor plans to obtain permission from the Cyprus Ministry of Education to operate the school and open it by the new school year.
