We are one of the countries that will be very much affected – on the basis of tourism, on economic issues, and also by human aspects. We have 30,000 British nationals living in Cyprus, most of them living in Paphos, and they are considered to be permanent residents.

“I wish all of us a wonderful, fulfilling Christmas and a bright New Year filled with joy, happiness and sincere laughter. Let’s go through the coming year hand in hand with the determination to replace all the bad in our daily life with morality, love and care. Let them prevail in all that surrounds us, making the world beautiful for us and our children.
I want to wish all readers and myself, above all, good health, patience and love. And for each issue of Premiere and Premiere Business to provide something interesting, to be inspired by our stories and look into the future with optimism and a good mood.
Russia was by far the leading investor in Cyprus. The number of Russians living here is very large. And they are actually good people. They are law-abiding people. They make a real contribution to society. They bring a lot of things: they bring relatives and friends every year, they bring art and a number of art exhibitions, concerts, they organize cultural events. And this decision of the Cypriot government to make life as difficult as possible for the Russian companies is a bit strange. The question is why. On what basis do you make such a decision? I think it is American pressure which has led to this. The Cypriots were fine with the Russian presence here. But they had to choose. And they are choosing between something which is very tangible now and was tangible for the last 20 years and between something which is totally intangible. There is no American investment in Cyprus. There are no Americans living here. The American political support – I do not see how it can be trusted. So, the question is “why”.
I am very interested in any new creativity on the stage. I’m rooting for more great thinking dancers and choreographers to appear. The evolution of dance is not something that I am indifferent to and its development interests me. The main thing is that the stage director is let out on the stage by the artists, not just for the sake of appearing on the stage, but in order to realise and convey to the viewer his thoughts and ideas.
As such, I do not have an idol. I studied everywhere, gaining experience little by little. My first master was Anatoly Akhreev, associate professor of GITIS (The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts). The second master was Konstantin Raikin and the third was Sergei Golomazov. Here are three absolutely different, but equally remarkable, people who provided me with something to learn. I still learn from them when I look at some of their works or, specifically, when I utilise their works in my art.

Architecture is an exciting journey through the fantasy land with Grand Finale. It starts somewhere between a dream and the will to realise it – a desire to explore the mirage, to build it and to touch it. Firstly, comes an idea, very unclear at first and unexpected, like the sound of thunder. Because it appears so quickly, your brain cannot determine whether it is simply a delusion or not. Natural instinct alerts you to listen to the idea and judge its behavior. All circulating thoughts, borne in the essence of invention become notes and compose an extraordinary symphony expressed by the balance held within – the harmony of shapes, colors, numbers and engineering bonded tightly by the strong power of creation. This special marriage of art and science gives definition to empty spaces by creating surfaces and gives these spaces special functions to loyally serve the needs of humanity, as we live in a world governed by our requirements.
Could you tell us about your career as a designer?
From my early years in university, I knew exactly what I wanted, which was to create a brand of my own. In the third year of my studies, I created and established the brand ‘Anna Dorothea Milano’ and I presented my first collection in 2013 in Milan.
