In Paphos, police busted a gambling den that didn’t go into lockdown

In Paphos, police officers on a tip from neighbors discovered a gambling den located in one of the city apartments. Despite all the prohibitions related to the coronavirus pandemic, the “establishment” was working at full speed – at the time of the visit of the police there were eight people in the apartment.

There were two tables covered with cloth, 106 playing cards, 1,434 chips, a surveillance camera and other items on the premises along with the violators of the decrees of the Ministry of Health.

Everyone in the apartment was subpoenaed for trial. They were also charged with violating laws to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
