In “contaminated” areas of Cyprus the capacity to check the health of workers is not sufficient

In the two areas of Cyprus that have the highest number of coronavirus infections, Limassol and Paphos, and where, accordingly, the most severe antipandemic restrictions have been imposed, there is a lack of health care capacity to verify the health of workers in the areas of socially necessary work and services.

Since the beginning of the week, when additional restrictions were imposed, these locations have had long waiting lists for the necessary PCR tests for the presence/absence of antibodies to COVID-19.

The problem of congestion in the laboratories and testing points concerns primarily life support workers and those who have to move between Paphos and Limassol as well as between these areas and other provinces of Cyprus.
