Cyprus plant breeders may apply for state material support as victims of the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic – until November 17, you can apply for the appropriate application, reminds the Ministry of Agriculture.

The assistance is provided in the form of a lump sum payment, the maximum amount of which is 7000 euros. Representatives of the following plant growing sectors may apply for it: vegetables, herbs and strawberries; watermelon growing; olive growing (at altitudes of less than 400 m); perennial crops (on plots with altitudes of 400 m and more); and viticulture (winemaking, table and traditional varieties).

Applications are accepted only in electronic form on https://eas.capo.gov.cy. The application process is as simple and automated as possible to comply with pandemic restrictions. All materials on the subject are available at www.capo.gov.cy and www.paa.gov.cy.
