Cyprus container ship collided with Iranian off the coast of Singapore

Iranian container ship Shahraz with a deadweight of 86,000 tons (belonging to the IRISL group) shortly before midnight on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday collided in Singapore waters with container ship Tina 1, marching under the flag of Cyprus.

The cause of the accident is still unknown, Indonesian authorities are investigating. According to local media, a Cypriot ship that was on its way from Singapore to Jakarta hit the stern of an Iranian ship, causing significant damage.

It should be noted that not later than in May Shahraz did not share the water area with a bulkhead Samudra Sakti under the Indonesian flag, having received a puncture.
