Cypriots are promised COVID-19 vaccination start in February

Vaccination against COVID-19 in Cyprus will begin tentatively in February – this was reported to the media by Nikolas Dietis, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacology, Medical School of the University of Cyprus.

The expert noted that people from risk groups – teachers, medical staff, police, as well as elderly citizens – can count on vaccination first of all.

When asked whether the procedure will be mandatory for all, he found it difficult to answer, but suggested that even in this case the vaccination will be carried out in stages: first the representatives of the risk groups will be vaccinated, and then – the rest of the population.
