Curfew in Limassol and Paphos and mandatory wearing of a mask even outside

In the last 14 days, the number of detected cases of COVID-19 in Cyprus has increased dramatically. Paphos and Limassol account for a particularly high number of cases. Therefore, the Ministry of Health has decided to tighten measures to prevent and contain the spread of the virus.

Therefore, from tomorrow, October 23rd until November 9th, all residents of Limassol and Paphos are forbidden to leave their homes from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., except for medical cases (from/to pharmacy, nursing home) or to work, but with the presentation of a relevant certificate or evidence.

All catering establishments will work only until 22:30, this restriction does not apply to the delivery service.

All day sports and social activities for children under 18 years of age (e.g. soccer, dancing, swimming, martial arts, theatre, choir, etc.) will be suspended.

The sports competitions of children under 18 years of age, whose teams are in Limassol and Paphos, are cancelled. For example, if a team based in Limassol or Paphos must play with a team from Nicosia, the competition will be suspended until the expiration of the measures.

Also, from October 23, the use of masks becomes a mandatory condition not only indoors but also in the fresh air (except for athletes) for all residents of the Republic of Cyprus.
