Cruise ship carrying Israelis will be anchored 15 times off Cypriot shores

Royal Caribbean has announced that Cyprus is included in its 2021 summer schedule – a cruise ship bearing its emblem will anchor off the island 15 times between June and August. Tourists will be Israeli citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19, SigmaLive reported.

Royal Caribbean’s decision to sail to Cyprus was facilitated by its recent agreement with Israel, according to which mutual exchange of vaccinated tourists from April 1 will be seamless, with no PCR tests or self-isolation.

However, the company does plan to request passengers to test negative for сovid before boarding as an additional security measure. In addition, travellers will be expected to undergo periodic checks throughout the voyage.
