“Covid etiquette”: Cypriot health ministry draws up rules of conduct in restaurants

As of 16 March, restaurants and bars in Cyprus are allowed to serve customers on verandas and outdoor areas. The Cypriot Ministry of Health has drawn up special rules of conduct in restaurants, cafes and bars.

In particular, it is forbidden to move and dance aimlessly in the establishments. It is allowed to serve customers only if they are seated at the table.
Visitors must wear masks when entering and leaving the establishment and when moving around the outdoor area.
Areas must be ventilated at all times – if there is a roof or a canopy, at least two sides of the veranda must be open for air access.

General rules: the maximum number of visitors per table is eight, including children. Establishments are open until 10:45 p.m. to enforce the curfew from 11 p.m. To go to a café, restaurant or bar, you must send an SMS to 8998 with reason no. 2 for leaving home.
