Café violating health ministry decrees in Limassol turns out to be illegal

A cafe in Limassol has been temporarily closed by a court in breach of health ministry decrees. According to SigmaLive, the establishment not only ignored sanitary regulations during the pandemic but also turned out to be illegal overall.

The day before, the owner of the Limassol cafe was fined for serving customers in circumvention of the ban, and three customers were fined for being in the establishment illegally. However, the case was not over: it turned out that not only did the cafe operate in a standard mode, rather than takeaway/delivery, but it had no right to operate in any way whatsoever: the establishment had no license to operate, nor a permit to sell alcohol.

The court ordered the temporary closure of the café pending the hearing of the case.
