British military confesses to dropping a six-meter-long drone in Cyprus in autumn

The British military has confirmed that a plane crash involving their drone occurred in Cyprus in the fall, PhileNews reports.

On October 14, an advanced Watchkeeper drone, 6.5 meters long and weighing about 0.5 tons, crashed on the territory of the British enclave, in Akrotiri. The British then decided not to inform the Cypriot masses about the incident, but on December 28 this information became public.

The military declined to comment on the incident, citing the fact that its investigation was not yet complete. It should be noted that if the military drone had fallen in a residential area, it could have posed a real danger to civilians.
