After lockdown: how will Cyprus return to normalcy?

The procedure for exiting Cyprus from the second lockdown will generally follow the same pattern as from the first – this was told to SigmaLive by Petros Karayiannis, a member of the epidemiological council under the head of the republic.

It is assumed that in the first place retail stores will open in the country – of course, those that were to be closed, because they do not sell essential goods. These include shoe stores, clothing stores, furniture stores, bookstores, hardware stores, etc. Next will resume the work of hairdressers and beauty salons, shopping centers, as well as catering companies, which can now only sell their products to customers.
Fitness clubs, gyms and swimming pools will open next. Cypriots will again be able to attend group and individual sports and dance classes. But theaters and cinemas are likely to be the last to open.
