A young worker in Limassol falls from a nine-metre height
There has been an industrial accident in the Moni district of Limassol – a 22-year-old man working on the roof of a warehouse under construction has fallen from a nine-metre height, sustaining serious injuries.
The young man reportedly fell from a height because part of the roof collapsed. When the victim was taken by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital, medics diagnosed him with cranial trauma, a broken arm and lung damage. The worker was hospitalised and doctors assess his condition as stable.
The police, in cooperation with the Labour Inspectorate Department, are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
