4,000 euros and uninsured jewelry stolen from the house of a foreigner in Paphos

The Paphos police received a report of theft from a 40-year-old foreigner permanently residing in Geroskipou. The man said that 4,000 euros and uninsured jewelry had been stolen from his home.

According to the victim, he was away from home for no more than two hours on that day, and when he returned he found that during that time the thieves had managed to enter the house through a closed but unlocked window. The burglars had stolen 4,000 euros in cash and jewelry, the value of which the owner had difficulty assessing – he only said that they were not insured.

The police are investigating the theft. Law enforcers remind Cypriots not to make it easy for thieves and to lock doors and windows, even when leaving the house for a short time.
