Today, Monday, the Cyprus Ministry of Health announced that after testing passengers at COVID-19, a large number of positive cases were detected at both airports on the island.
Late on Sunday evening, 346 laboratory tests were processed, of which 30 were positive. More than half of the infected passengers (17 people) arrived on a Saturday flight from Mykonos.
Another 10 sick were passengers on the flight that arrived from Amsterdam on Sunday.
The other three had arrived from London on yesterday’s flight.
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that they’re monitoring all those who are ill and are working to follow up with them.
So far, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Republic of Cyprus is 1451.
The Ministry of Health also announced that the Netherlands’ rating will soon be downgraded and the country will move from category B to category C.
