The opening of borders in Russia with new countries has been denied

Russia has no plans to resume international flights with new countries in the near future. This was announced on Monday, August 24, at the Federal Operational Headquarters for the prevention of the spread of infection, reports “Interfax”.

Earlier Izvestia newspaper published information that Russian authorities are preparing a new list of countries with which they plan to open air service in the near future.

The countries in question were France, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus, Jordan, Egypt (Cairo only) and China (Shanghai only). It was noted, however, that travel to European countries will be available only for a “limited number of passengers” – only for travelers with a residence permit, work permit, as well as for visiting medical facilities.

The next meeting of the operational headquarters will be held on August 25.
