Traffic lights will be installed at the Agia Fyla roundabout in Limassol
On Tuesday, the Philenews newspaper reported that traffic lights will be installed at the Ayia Fyla roundabout to reduce traffic congestion in the Greater Limassol area.
The decision was made after research conducted by the Department of Public Works in collaboration with a private designer.
The intelligent control system for the new traffic light will be able to regulate traffic in real time to prevent traffic jams at the roundabout.
The traffic lights will be installed at the north, west and east junction and at the roundabout accordingly.
The publication also states that provision has been made in the 2021 budget for the installation of traffic lights and other roundabouts, if deemed necessary.
