British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the suspension of further easing of quarantine measures due to the worsening epidemiological situation in the country. He said this today at a press conference, RIA Novosti reported.

From August 1, most of the sports centers, bowling clubs, ice rinks, casinos and beauty salons were to be reopened in Britain. Some theaters were planned to start working from early August. Wedding ceremonies were also supposed to be allowed for up to 30 people.

However those plans are still to be implemented.

As the day before, the increase in the number of detected cases of COVID-19 broke the record of the current month and amounted to 846 people. The total number of people falling ill in the country at the moment is 302 thousand, the number of deaths is approaching 46 thousand.
