The first meeting of the interdepartmental commission on admission of airlines to international flights after the beginning of the pandemic took place last week.
Carriers began to request admission to foreign flights, including those to closed countries.
Many countries were under consideration – Germany, Greece, Georgia, Israel, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, China, etc.
On September 23 on the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency there appeared an order on the admission of airlines on regular charter flights. According to this order, only one pass has been issued by the commission so far.
“Ural Airlines” can perform charter flights to “foreign points of transportation, except for the points to which, in accordance with intergovernmental agreements on air traffic, requires a procedure for coordination with the designated carriers.
Also, “Pobeda” airlines have extended the validity of admission for charter flights, except for flights to the following countries: Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Israel, France, Cuba, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia.
Requests of air carriers for winter season were not reflected in the order. It is possible that the decision was made on the basis of COVID-19 restrictions for flights in other countries.
