The amount of new loans in Cyprus for the month showed an increase of 45%

At the end of September, the amount of new loans in Cyprus increased by 45% or 98.2 million euros compared to August – these figures were 315.6 and 217.4 million euros, respectively, the Central Bank of Cyprus.

The regulator notes that new loans for consumption increased to 15.3 million euros (in August – 13.5 million), and for the purchase of housing – up to 97.2 million (against 55.9 million).

The number of new loans to non-financial corporations in the amount of up to one million euros showed an increase of 1.9 million – to 38.9 million euros. As for new loans over a million euros, the September figure was 151.1 million (a month earlier – 100.5 million).
