Single residence permit started to be issued in Cyprus
The Cyprus Migration Board announced that since the beginning of September a new version of the residence permit in the format established by the EU Regulations has been launched.
All residence permits, which will be issued starting from 05.09.2020, will be issued in the new single format, regardless of when the application for residence was submitted.
The official explanation states that all licenses issued under the old-style residence permits remain valid until their expiry date and do not need to be changed.
The main purpose of changing the format of the document was to protect it from counterfeiting and make it impossible to impersonate another person.
