Police in Paphos detained two men on suspicion of committing a major theft from a building site. One of the detainees was a 16-year-old who was caught with his father.
Law enforcers received a report of property worth around 25,000 euros missing from a house under construction in a village in Pafos province. The missing items included aluminium doors, windows and photovoltaic panels.
As police were conducting an inspection of the scene, a lorry pulled up to the building, carrying a 43-year-old man and his teenage son. They reportedly confessed to the theft and when their home was searched, a substantial amount of the stolen goods was discovered.
The man and the teenager were taken into custody and the investigation into the theft is ongoing.
