Military may be behind the riots at the CYTA office in Limassol

The Cypriot police detained a suspect in the explosion of a homemade bomb in front of the office of the telecommunications company CyTA in Limassol – a 27-year-old military man, a National Guard contractor.

We should remind you that on the night of December 13, there was an explosion near the office of Cyta, and the walls of the building were decorated with graffiti slogans against the introduction of 5G technology in Cyprus. At the same time a few firecrackers and a Molotov cocktails were thrown near the branch of Hellenic Bank in Ayia Fila, and later the main Christmas tree of the city was attacked by unknown perpetrators, Molotov cocktails were thrown at its foot.

It is assumed that the suspect had accomplices. The police are now looking for them, and the detainee is awaiting trial.
