Maximum number of coronavirus cases is registered in Russia
Russia has recorded the maximum number of COVID-19 infections per day since the pandemic began.
According to official statistics, the diagnosed number of cases was 12,126 people. At the same time, the number of deaths from the virus increased to 201 people.
The last peak of the pandemic occurred in May (11,656 cases), but the mortality rate was below 94 people per day.
Most new cases were detected in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Moscow region. It is possible that cities will again be subject to strict quarantine.
