Lockdown Chronicles: Cyprus Police Receives Funny Calls

January lockdown is the second for Cyprus, and just as in spring, the Cyprus police sometimes receive strange and amusing calls from citizens. Examples of such cases the police shared with the media.
To begin with, law enforcers recalled one of the most striking episodes from the first lockdown, when a citizen decided to travel to another province, in order to urgently and urgently pick up a vacuum cleaner from a friend.
In January, the banner of glory was taken over by a man who called the police and reported that his rooster had died and he was very sad. The officer on duty tried to comfort the grieving man, but the man explained that was not the point. He wanted the police to come to his house and take the corpse of the rooster for an autopsy to find out the cause of death and to make sure that the bird was not killed by the coronavirus. The man stated that he and all of his household were very concerned about whether they, too, could have contracted covid.
Another amusing incident was recorded in Limassol – a citizen approached the police who wanted to carry over to the next day two of today’s unused SMS permits to leave the house. He thought that the postponement would entitle him to four messages tomorrow.
