Limassol carnival: schedule of events has been announced

In 2021, the carnival in Limassol will be unconventional due to the COVID-19 pandemic and tight restrictions banning mass events. The municipality has been forced to cancel the Grand Parade and the children’s parade, and most of the celebrations and concerts will be held online.

The carnival will start on March 4 and end on the 14th. During the three days – March 4, 13 and 14 – the festively decorated streets will feature a platform with the king of the festivities – the Indian Maharaja. However, to avoid unsafe crowds in terms of the spread of the coronavirus, the exact time and route of the platform has not been disclosed.

On March 4, an exhibition of works by the Limassol Self-Artists Association (ΕΝ.Α.Ζ.) will be held at Limassol City Hall, while the Panos Solomonidis Cultural Centre will host an exhibition of photographs and caricatures.

March 5 – Irtan I Sikoses at the Pattihio Theatre (live online broadcast).

March 9 – Mask competition to DJ MadMax’s sets (live online broadcast).

March 12 – “If It Was Yesterday” performance at the Pattihio Theatre (live streaming online).

March 13 – Serenade Performers’ Night (live online broadcast).
