Inflation in Cyprus rose by half a percent in one month

At the end of October inflation in Cyprus was -1.4% – compared to -1.9% in September, reports Eurostat. Statistics add that last October the figure was -0.5%.

The inflation rate in the euro zone in October 2020 was -0.3%, which is stable compared to September. A year earlier, the rate was 0.7%.
Annual inflation in the European Union in October was at 0.3% – stable compared to September. A year ago, this figure reached 1.1%.

The lowest annual rates were registered in Greece (-2%), Estonia (-1.7%) and Ireland (-1.5%), the highest – in Poland (3.8%), Hungary (3%) and the Czech Republic (2.9%).

Compared to September, annual inflation decreased in fifteen member states, remained stable in two and increased in ten.
