Police in Nicosia are investigating the attempted murder of a 37-year-old owner of a horse farm – unknown assailants fired on his car, Reporter reports.
As the man told law enforcers, he was driving along Tevcru Antia Avenue around half past 7 p.m. At some point, he heard a noise, then the driver’s side window shattered, and then he saw a large motorcycle that had previously been parked near a gas station drive away.
Seven bullets were fired at the victim’s car, but he himself was unhurt. He said that in the recent past he had had reason to fear for his life as he had had dealings and financial disputes with certain people living in both the free and occupied territories of Cyprus. The police are checking this version of what happened.
