Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Liechtenstein move to category B

The new list of countries from which Cyprus accepts passengers was announced on Tuesday by the Ministry of Health.

From Saturday, September 5, four countries will move from A to B category at once, namely Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Liechtenstein. The United Kingdom remains in category B.

Monaco and Rwanda will move from category B to category C.

Australia will move from category C to category B.

So, from Saturday, they will move into category A:
Germany, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Norway, Georgia, Canada, New Zealand, South Korea and Thailand.

In category B: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Vatican City, San Marino, Uruguay, China, Japan and Australia.

In category C: Bulgaria, France, Croatia, Luxembourg, Romania, Spain, Malta, Netherlands, Andorra, Monaco, Algeria, Serbia, Montenegro, Morocco, Rwanda, Tunisia, Russia, Ukraine, Faroe Islands, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Lebanon, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Passengers arriving from A-category countries do not need to be tested for COVID-19 or self-isolated.

People arriving from B-category countries must present a negative Coronavirus test at least 72 hours in advance. Cypriot nationals, their families and permanent residents may take the test upon arrival in Cyprus.

All those whose countries of residence do not provide laboratory testing services (public or private sector) may also undergo testing on arrival. At the moment only Italy is included in the list of countries where coronavirus testing is not available for travel.

Arrivals from category C countries are allowed only for certain categories of citizens. They have the option to choose whether to take the COVID-19 test on arrival in Cyprus or to take a negative test at least 72 hours before departure.
Self-isolation is required for all those coming from Category C countries within 14 days after arrival. They are also required to take a second Coronavirus test 48 hours before the end of their self-isolation period and send the results to [email protected].

All testing costs on arrival from B and Category countries are borne by the passengers themselves.

Regardless of the country of arrival, all passengers must complete the CyprusFlightPass form within 24 hours before departure (https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/).
