From October 9, the countries from which you can fly to Cyprus will change places again

Next Friday, the list of countries from which you can get to Cyprus will change again.

Lithuania will move from category A to category B.

Belgium will move from category B to category C.

Georgia, from category B will be moved to category C.

Slovakia will change from category B to C.

So, in the updated list of countries Category A:

EU Member States:

  • 1) Germany,
  • 2) Latvia,
  • 3) Finland.

Third countries:

  • 1) Australia,
  • 2) New Zealand,
  • 3) South Korea,
  • 4) Thailand.

Passengers coming from category A countries do not need COVID-19 tests.

In category B entered:

EU Member States:

  • 1) Denmark,
  • 2) Greece,
  • 3) Estonia,
  • 4) Ireland,
  • 5) Italy,
  • 6) Lithuania,
  • 7) Poland,
  • 8) Sweden,
  • 9)Great Britain.

Members of the Schengen area:

  • 1) Iceland,
  • 2) Liechtenstein,
  • 3) Norway.

Small states:

  • 1) Vatican City,
  • 2) San Marino.

Third countries:

  • 1) Uruguay,
  • 2) China (including Hong Kong)
  • 3) Japan,
  • 4) Rwanda,
  • 5) Canada,
  • 6) Serbia.

Passengers arriving from B-category countries must pass a laboratory test within 72 hours before departure and have a negative COVID-19 test result.

Passengers from B Category countries on the following list may undergo testing upon arrival in Cyprus:

a) Cypriot citizens and their family members (their foreign spouses, minor children and their parents),

b) all legally residing in the Republic,

c) persons entitled under the Vienna Convention (diplomats and consuls),

e) persons, regardless of nationality, whose country of residence does not provide laboratory analysis services (public or private).

From October 9 they will enter category C:

EU member states:

  • 2) Belgium,
  • 3) Bulgaria,
  • 4) France,
  • 5) Croatia,
  • 6) Luxembourg,
  • 7) Romania,
  • 8) Spain,
  • 9) Malta,
  • 10) The Netherlands,
  • 11) Hungary,
  • 12) Portugal,
  • 13) Slovakia,
  • 14) Slovenia,
  • 15) Czech Republic.

Small states:

  • 1) Andorra,
  • 2) Monaco.

Members of the Schengen area:

  • 1) Switzerland.

Third countries:

  • 1) Algeria,
  • 2) Georgia,
  • 3) Morocco,
  • 4) Montenegro,
  • 5) Tunis.

Entry from countries of this category into the Republic of Cyprus is allowed only to certain categories of citizens who have the right to enter – these are citizens and residents of Cyprus who have F/LTRP visas, working and visiting pink slips, yellow slips or special permits for close relatives.

Citizens in this category may choose to take a COVID-19 diagnostic test in their country of departure or take a test upon arrival in Cyprus. All arriving from Category C countries need to stay on self-isolation for 14 days.

It is also mandatory to re-test for COVID-19 48 hours before the end of the self-isolation period. The result of the laboratory test should be sent to [email protected].

Quarantine is possible with 14 days of self-insulation and a second negative test.

All passengers, regardless of class, must apply for the CyprusFlightPass (https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy) within 24 hours before departure to the Republic of Cyprus.
