For the first time in history, the United Arab Emirates and Israel have agreed to direct air communication

On Saturday, 29 August 2020, the Arab Emirates repealed the 1972 law on boycotting Israel.

And on Monday, August 31, the first direct flight from Tel Aviv arrived in the United Arab Emirates.
It was the first airliner to be allowed to cross Saudi Arabia, which has so far been closed to Israeli aircraft.

A delegation of Israeli and American officials, including Jared Kushner, son-in-law and adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, were on board an “EL AL” aircraft landing at Abu Dhabi airport. The word “Peace” was written on board the liner in Hebrew, English and Arabic.

At the airport, the delegation was welcomed by UAE Foreign Secretary Anwar Gargash and other officials. The delegation plans to discuss possible options for cooperation between the two states.
