Finns are going to start letting tourists in by Christmas

Finland plans to start letting tourists in by Christmas, including those from countries with a bad epidemic on coronavirus – the corresponding law Finns intend to approve before the Christmas vacations, the publication YLE.

Tourism in Finland is one of the main components of the economy, and especially developed winter destinations – ski resorts, Lapland, guest houses. And if at the beginning of the pandemic the Finnish government severely restricted entry, now the continuation of restrictions can cause serious damage to the industry.

Next week the government is expected to announce how tourism security will be ensured if the borders are opened. The task is to make travel possible, including from countries with poor epidemiological situation. In practice, this is likely to mean testing of entrants.

We would like to remind you that as of this week there are no countries with low risk of coronavirus infection in Europe.
