The current quarantine measures in Cyprus will be extended until January 10 – this is the decision made today by the Cabinet of Ministers. At the same time, for the sake of the holidays the people will be given some relief.
On Christmas Eve, December 24, traffic on the streets will be allowed until 23.00, and on New Year’s Eve – until 1 am. However, the limit of 10 persons in houses, including children, will remain.
Religious services in Cyprus will still take place – but only on December 25 and January 6, with a limit of 75 people, or one person per three meters of the temple area. It is permissible to have more than one service on these dates.
