Everyone coming to Cyprus needs an electronic pass

The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Cyprus announced today that all air passengers arriving in Cyprus require an online pass (CyprusFlightPass). And in case of its absence, the traveler will have to pay a fine of 150 euros, otherwise he will be sent back.

The availability of such pass is a mandatory requirement for all arriving on the island. It must be issued online, not manually upon arrival. “Only in case of technical problems on the electronic platform, which will be officially announced, it will be possible to fill in the CyprusFlightPass manually”, – explained the Ministry of Transport.

Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for certain airlines to allow people without online passes on board.

From July 13, those arriving without the necessary permission will have a choice – to pay a fine of 150 euros or to return to where they came from.

In addition, all passengers in group A without CyprusFlightPass will be equated to category B passengers and in addition to the fine will have to pass the Covid-19 test for 60 Euros.
