This conclusion was reached by the road police of the Republic of Cyprus after the raids carried out in the night from Sunday to Monday 27-28 September. Inspections were carried out on the roads of Paphos, Polis, Tsada, Strumbi, Katikas and Peyia. In total, 180 cars were stopped from 19.00 on Sunday to 08.00 on Monday. In every third, as a result, a violation was recorded.
In alcohol intoxication 27 drivers drove the cars, 8 people had no driver’s license, 4 cars had no technical inspection, 2 cars had no headlights, 1 driver ignored the seat belt, another person was fined for overtaking on the opposite lane.
