Cyprus extends curfew and allows outdoor eateries

Next week, along with the tightening of the anti-covid measures, will bring Cypriots some relief – in particular, the curfew will be extended and open-air eateries will be able to start operating.

From Tuesday 16 March the curfew will start at 23:00 and restaurants with summer verandas will be able to receive clients in the open-air – subject to social distancing measures.

On 15 March, Cypriots will be able to celebrate Green Monday – on this day access to squares, parks and sightseeing areas will be allowed to a maximum of six people (more than one family – must wear masks). Picnic areas will also be open to the public.
