On Tuesday, November 17, a joint three-day air exercise “Onisilos Gedeon” with Israel started in Cyprus. Residents of the island are informed that the flights of military aircraft over the settlements are carried out exclusively for peaceful purposes.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the exercise will be held from 17 to 19 November. Aircraft of the Israeli Air Force and air defense assets of the National Guard of Cyprus will take part in them.

The exercise, which will be held in the area of flight information Nicosia and a large part of the free territory of Cyprus – part of an agreed bilateral cooperation program in the field of defense with Israel and evidence of excellent relations between the two participating countries in the field of defense and security.
