Cypriots are expecting a long weekend on Christmas and New Year’s Eve
New Year’s and Christmas holidays this year will give Cypriots two long weekends. Banks, government offices and most stores in the country will be closed on the days listed below.
Christmas Day this year falls on a Friday and the holiday will last for three days, up to and including Sunday. The same situation is with the New Year. The weekend will last from Friday, January 1, to Sunday, January 3.
Another day off is Wednesday, January 6, in honor of Epiphany.
