Bahrain became the fourth Arab state to recognize Israel

Last Friday, Bahrain agreed to normalize relations with Israel and establish diplomatic relations between the two countries. This was announced in his Twitter account by U.S. President Donald Trump, through whom the event took place.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain also made a short joint statement.

This is the second such agreement to normalize Arab relations with Israel in the past two months. A month ago, the United Arab Emirates did so.

The announcement was made less than a week before the U.S. president held a ceremony at the White House to mark the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Bahrain’s foreign minister will attend the event, at which a separate agreement will also be signed with Netanyahu.

“There is no more powerful answer to the hatred that arose on September 11 than this agreement,” Trump commented on the event to reporters at the White House.
