Limassol police are investigating an attempted murder at a private American Academy school. Recall that on Monday morning, a 13-year-old student of this school was hit in the head with a hammer by his peers. The victim was taken to the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia.

It is reported that the pupil was diagnosed with a crack in his skull. An online game is mentioned as a reason for confrontation between teenagers. It is known that the attacker was accompanied by a 15-year-old friend, and in addition to a hammer they had a bag with knives. The teenagers had known each other for a long time and the conflict between them was long-lasting.

An attempted murder, criminal conspiracy and serious bodily harm were all investigated. The police assumed that two teenagers had agreed in advance to attack the third and kill him. Both of them were detained and accompanied by their parents and social service workers were brought to the station. It should be noted that Cyprus legislation does not provide for criminal responsibility for a 13-year-old.
