A strict quarantine is being introduced in the North of England

On Saturday, a very strict quarantine will be introduced in the North of England, in South Yorkshire. The authorities have decided to take such measures due to the growing level of contamination of COVID-19. This was announced on Wednesday by the Mayor of Sheffield region Dan Jarvis.

A financial assistance budget of 41 million pounds (53.5 million dollars) has already been agreed upon to support enterprises and provide additional measures.

Yesterday, Tuesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the same measures will be applied in Manchester.

The north of England was most severely affected by the second wave of COVID-19.
