A public dog park in Limassol is not for everyone: some breeds will not be allowed into it

The first dog park in Limassol starts operating on 3 April and is located on Agoras Street, next to the wholesale market in Zakaki.

The park is open daily, except on Thursdays. During the winter season (November to April) it will be open from 9am to 5pm, during the summer season (May to October) until 7pm.

A specially designed fenced area of 8,000 square metres is divided into three parts: A – for playing and exercising with dogs, B – for walking by owners, C – an area where dogs can be unleashed.

Companion dogs must be over 15 years of age, be responsible for their pets’ behaviour, obey the zone rules and clean up after their animals.

It is forbidden to enter with aggressive animals, sick animals (the owner must bring a vaccination pass and a dog licence), mating pets and puppies under four months of age. In addition, pit bull breeds (including American), Argentinean dog, Fila Brasileiro and Tosa Inu are not allowed in the park.
