European golf tournament continues in Cyprus – without spectators

The world’s best golfers continue to compete in Cyprus for the title of European Tour champion – one of the most exciting tournaments, which started in the resort hotel Aphrodite Hills on October 26 and will last two weeks.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament is spectatorless, but millions of golf enthusiasts from around the world can watch the event live. All tournament participants coming from abroad follow strict health protocols in close cooperation with the Cyprus Ministry of Health.

The European Tour is the largest sporting event ever held in Cyprus, with a cash prize of €2,000,000. The best players in the world are accompanied by about 500 people, including journalists, representatives of official sports organizations and private medical teams.
