The largest group of refugees in months has arrived in Cyprus

Last night in the coastal waters of Ayia Napa, off Cape Greco, a ship was found with the largest batch of illegal migrants in recent months – 55 people on board, reports SigmaLive.

The boat was carrying 55 people, all Syrian nationals: 36 men, five women and 14 children, the youngest of whom was no more than two months old. The men remained on the boat, while the women and children were humanely allowed to spend the night at Ayia Napa Marina.

The competent services went to the site to test the refugees for the coronavirus, identify them and then take them to a temporary accommodation centre.
