In Larnaca, a 36-year-old Cypriot woman received a prison sentence for raping an 18-year-old British tourist, the CNA reported.
The crime was committed by the attacker in July 2017. At night, the girl was waiting for a bus near the beach Makronissos to return from a party at a hotel in Ayia Napa. The man offered her a ride, but instead of the hotel brought to the parking lot of the new cemetery of Ayia Napa, abused the victim, and then pushed her out of the car and drove away.
The jury found the rapist guilty. The court sentenced him to six years in prison.
